So did you guys hear during the Cal UCLA game, the announcers actually recognized that if Oregon goes undefeated this season they have a shot at the National Championship. I know its probably not true but coming from ESPN is pretty good haha.

Oregon is not good enough to think about the NC haha. Let's worry about getting some stability in the secondary and getting Masoli back ha!

While the turnaround after Boise has been remarkable, this team does not need unrealistic dreams to poison their steady quest for the Roses. Let's focus on the dawgs. It won't be easy.

Rose Bowl would be nice... we haven't been to one since 1995, it would look good to be in one in the 21st century.

Just checked the ESPN bowl predictions- one has us playing in the Fiesta Bowl, the other in the Holiday Bowl. The Fiesta prediction has USC playing in the Rose Bowl. Not sure how that scenario would play out, but Southern California is nice in late December either way!

It is sad that ESPN automatically assumes USC will go to the Rose Bowl ( I know its a prediction but it has to come from somewhere.). We do have a long road ahead of us including a good looking Arizona team at Arizona but so does USC. I guess being powerhouse comes with its benefits. Lets hope someday USC fans will say ESPN has an Oregon bias. haha

I dont really know where will end up this year, but i do believe we have the best team, when we bring our A game both sides of the ball i think were the most impressive, we are just such a young team, but thats what is so impressive. The trojans dont look like the trojans of old, And their seems to be an identity crisis threw the pac10, Oregon the great defensive team, theirs a momentum shift threw our league. It seems the talent is being equally distributed over the past 2 years usc doesnt seem to have the depth of past. ive been tracking this closely over the years. majority of blue chips go to usc but the 4stars are being distributed more on a balance level, which is good cause i believe we have the best coaching staff.

I said this before the season, and I'll say it again. I'd be happy with 10 wins this year. Of course, I'd love a Rose Bowl or better, but this team is extremely young, as most of our starters are underclassmen. With few/no players that look like they'll be heading to the NFL early, I'm extremely excited for next season, which could truly be special. Increased experience across the board, along with a year of coaching under CK's belt should realistically put us in the preseason NC discussion.
