Here is Masoli and his latest update on his injury and practice:

I hope this can will keep fans a little less agitated for the game this week.

Hmmm. Not sure what to make of Masoli yet. Wish I had time to go to a practice during the week to see it myself.

That oregonlive article said he's still got a visible limp, and that he's going to rehab it whenever the place is open. I hope he's not rushing back too soon. We can beat the Mutts without him. I'd rather have him with another week of rest heading into the USC game.

I don't know whether you read the newest article on Oregonlive but from the writings it seemed as if he was able to run and do some limited movements while cutting. So hopefully that is a sign for good things to come but I am really afraid he will be injured again during the UW game.... imagine the USC game without Masoli... I dare not think about it. As much as Costa is a capable quarterback it would be nice to have our starter for one of the toughest game.

I say keep masoli as a backup, only to preserve Darron Thomas' redshirt. No sense risking a re-injury if hes only, say, 80%. Let him heal completely and be full strength for usc. If he starts, and re-injures himself, its '07 all over again. I still cringe thinking about it. heartbroken agony doesnt even scratch the surface. I believe in Costa. Obviously a little rusty, but 3 years since hes started a game forgives the mistakes against the bruins. UW is not as good on D as ucla, all we need is costa to hand the ball off. UW has the 9th worst rush D in the PAC only ahead of WSU.

I believe Masoli should start to get the game going and set a pace for the offense but we should put Costa in for the rest of the game if we are making consistent plays. I don't see pushing Masoli unless we need him since if we win the USC game will be very important for us.
