Surprised nobody is talking about this yet, albeit a new DUCKsite...

O vs. O?

Can Masoli wreck shit in the rain unlike berkeley last year?

I thinking, in years to come, people will talk about Halloween Nite 2009 as the loudest stadium in NCAA football history. I saw a stat during the UO/Wash. telecast about the top 5 loudest games, couldn't get it all but thought a Husky game topped the list and an Autzen game at #5. Any one else catch that? and do you know what the actual listing was? I think we can top that if we encourage each other! GO DUCKS!!!

I agree Jonny- Autzen always leaves first time visitors amazed, even WSU visitors were saying that Autzen was impressive, and that, no disrespect to wazzu, was the one game fans expected to win. Call it an Autzen bias as a duck fan, but here is a link to prove yours and my point- Autzen and duck fans are the loudest and craziest die hard fans on the planet, let alone college football-http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_loudest_college_football_stadium

We will most certainly break the record of 127.2db's we set last time usc visited, im sure. this game is HUGE. GameDay is here. Its Halloween night on NATIONAL televison. PAC10 title on the line. LGB has been the only thing the biased media has talked about regarding Oregon. Its time to show the nation we cant play some damn good football out west too. Lou Holtz still cannot pronounce Oregon right. Herbstreit picks against us EVERY week-and I hope he continues to. The PAC and Oregons reputation is on the line in this game, its time to 86 usc out of the PAC10 drivers seat and let chip kelly drive this mofo- GO DUCKS!

This game is going to be a very BIG event for the football program, displaying the might of oregon football to the nation in the wake of the boise debacle which was what the nation saw first. but I am also worried about the hype since there was also alot of hype for the boise game... i know chip kelly has been saying the players only think about the next game but we are human and so are the players, they know the meaning of this game, hopefully they can play level headed and let the emotions out after the game.

I think that if the Ducks can establish the passing game early that will open up lanes for LMJ and Barner. The Ducks haven't seen a team as fast as SC yet this year so those lanes might closes up pretty fast. I am thinking that Dickson will have a hard time getting open, because SC will be focused on him and cover will him with someone that is able to follow him around. So that means that Davis, Maehl and Tuinei will have to step it up.
That said, I know the D will play inspired and create some turnovers. It will be close, SC hasn't lost by more the 7 points under Carrol and I don't think that it will happen on Saturday, but I don't mind being wrong on that one.
Call me boring but I say it'll be a repeat of 07' 24-17.
Go Ducks

USC is definitely going to be focusing on Dickson after OSU torched them with TE delays all night. I expect him to see a lot of Taylor Mays shading him over the top.

The latest line I saw was SC by a field goal which surprised me a bit. I see a couple of keys to this game:

1. Can the crowd and our defense in concert rattle Barkley? He has drawn great praise for his maturity beyond his years but he has not faced the frenzied climate of Autzen.

2. Quick screens to our wideouts are not going to work against SC. And the running lanes will not be there w/o some initial success in the passing game. Short and medium crossing routes in rhythm with the run option seems like an idea to me.

3. Will our untested secondary hold up? If Barkley is able to find a groove at any point in the game, they will have a tough time of it.

Love the Ducks! Sounds like JM is feeling good and Costa is confident as backup. Does anyone know if #9 is keeping up on being redeemed?

I don't see many predictions which means this game is really up in the air when it comes to the scores. I just hope the Ducks show up like they have done in the past four games.

well... its eve of "THE" Game so my prediction is that we win but I don't know by how much... everyone says it will be a close game no matter what but I see a blow out or a struggling game
