In light of the article posted by Register Guard regarding Jeremiah Masoli's past I just wanted to ask the forum goers here, what are your thoughts on the current state of the media regarding not only college football but non-professional athletes. We have sites like scouts and rivals that make their profit off these “student athletes” who have yet to even graduate high school and we have various aspects of the media that deals with college athletes as if they were professionals. Is it right for past actions to be publicized at every turn just because your a known student athlete? Or do you think because of the fame and potential professional career they should be at the forefront of the media?
